BOHFS TO HOST UNION OMAHA IN FIRST ROUND OF LAMAR HUNT U.S. OPEN CUP

BOHFS Hosting US Open Cup

BOHFS is proud to announce that we will host Union Omaha in the First Round of the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at Lindenwood University’s Harlen C. Hunter Stadium on Tuesday, March 18th at 7:00 PM.

The match marks another historic milestone for the club as BOHFS continues its rapid rise on the national stage. After navigating the qualifying rounds and earning a place in the tournament proper, BOHFS now welcomes one of the most established clubs in American lower-division soccer to St. Louis.

Union Omaha, a perennial contender in USL League One and a former league champion, brings significant experience and pedigree to the matchup. Known for their discipline, organization, and success in knockout competitions, Omaha presents a formidable challenge — and an opportunity for BOHFS to measure itself against proven national competition.

For BOHFS, this match represents more than just a game. It is a testament to the work of the players, coaching staff, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who have helped build the club from the ground up. Competing in the U.S. Open Cup — the oldest soccer tournament in the United States — places BOHFS alongside clubs from MLS, USL, and across the American soccer pyramid.

The match will be played at the historic Harlen C. Hunter Stadium, providing a perfect stage for a night of high-level soccer under the lights. Fans can also watch nationwide, as the match will be broadcast live on CBS Golazo and Paramount+, further showcasing BOHFS on a national platform.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM, and tickets are on sale now. BOHFS encourages fans, families, and the St. Louis soccer community to come out, pack the stands, and be part of another unforgettable night in club history.

This is what the Open Cup is all about.
One game. One night. A chance to make history.

This season’s U.S. Open Cup is made up of a field of 80 teams — including 48 professional clubs — competing for a $1 million purse and a place in the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup, an international competition similar to the UEFA Champions League. As always, the U.S. Open Cup is a single-elimination knockout tournament.

The 32 winners from the first round will face off in a second-round matchup on March 31 or April 1. Clubs from Major League Soccer will join the competition in the round of 32.
