In an exciting exhibition match, BOHFS secured a dominant 11-4 victory over Ambush2, with the game featuring six already signed players alongside many talented Dueling for Lincoln FC players.
But beyond the scoreline, the real winner of the evening was the St. Louis Ambush organization teaming up with BOHFS along with DFLFC, who put on the match to raise awareness for a much more important cause.
The event was organized to support Officer Nate Spiess, who tragically sustained serious injuries while serving the St. Louis community. Spiess, who is not only a dedicated police officer but also an integral part of the DFL Soccer team and the broader St. Louis soccer community, was at the heart of the night. Fans and players alike rallied around the cause, showing tremendous support for the officer.
As for the match itself, BOHFS came out strong, dominating early with a flurry of goals. Despite a valiant effort from Ambush2, the gap proved too wide to overcome. BOHFS showcased their impressive depth, with standout performances from their signed players and key contributions from DFLFC players. The Ambush2 squad fought hard, but it was clear that BOHFS had the upper hand throughout the game.
While the final score was lopsided, the true success of the night lay in the sense of community and solidarity that filled the stands and the field. Fans came together, not only to witness an exciting soccer match but also to show their support for Officer Spiess and to raise awareness for his recovery. It was a reminder of the power of sports to bring people together and to support causes that matter.
As the St. Louis soccer community continues to rally behind Spiess, events like this prove just how strong the bonds are among players, fans, and first responders alike.
